AGAMEE –A Society for Help for Self HelpNetworking had always been an integral part of Agamee’s work. Agamee -A Society for Help for Self Help is member of two international networks OBR and AMAN and one regional network BHABNA.
Agamee- A Society for Help for Self Help is an active member of AMAN: Global Voices for Peace in the Home network. This network is an International Network to End Domestic Violence. It comprises of organisations and individuals in India and abroad, working on the core issue of violence against women, particularly domestic violence. It came into existence on 7 December 2006. The network provides a platform for member organisations and individuals to interact with each other and learn and grow from each other’s strategies and best practices.
The members of Agamee, participated in many trainings and programmes as well as organized programmes like meetings, trainings as part of the networks. They took part in the workshops on Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 organised by the network at different areas. The members of Agamee –a Society for Help for Self Help joined the three day National Meet of Aman at Jaipur, Rajasthan for enhancement of their knowledge on the issue of Domestic violence prevention (24 to 26 June 2019). One of Agamee members performed a choreographic performance ‘PURUSTTAM’ on Gender Discrimination Issue at Beliaghata, North 24 Pargana district on behalf of Aman Net Work (30 July 2017). Agamee participated and performed theatrical presentation on the occasion of OBR (One Billion Rising) celebration at Lake Garden, Kolkata (14 February, 2023). A daylong meeting with member associations of NAOW West Bengal chapter at head office, Kolkata was organized by Agamee (25 February, 2023). Also, a daylong seminar to celebrate International Women’s Day, on issue of ‘Gender Discrimination and Domestic violence’ organised by ‘Aman Global Network for peace at Home’ was held at Baragora village belonging to at Agamee’s Purulia project area (10 March,2023). Agamee members participated in a day long legal training program organised by Aman Global Network for Peace at home, at Kolkata (10 December, 2023). On 12 Feb, 2024 programme was held at Bishnubati tribal village, Shantiniketan.
A daylong workshop based on the topic named ‘Cyber Security and Adolescence condition increasing child marriage’ (24 January 2023). A Two day residential workshop was organized by Agamee on behalf of Bhabna Network on 26-27 Aug, 2023. As a representative of Agamee A Society for Help for Self Help, youngsters and adolescent members of ‘Koishor Dol” of ‘Bhabna Network’ expressed their opinions.
Girl child day celebration was held on 23 Jan, 2024 at Santoshpur, Budge Budge, West Bengal.
