Our Activities

AGAMEE –A Society for Help for Self Help

Pre-school Education

Education Program in all project areas: We have been running a pre-school education program for the last 20 years in our three project areas. We provide textbooks, dresses, and food for all students. The students have also imparted lessons in extra-curricular activities like dance, music, recitation, and painting are organized towards the overall development of children. 100 children are attending pre-school from Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. to 10 a.m in different project areas of the organization. The project was started by ‘Agamee-A Society for Help for Self Help’ to keep the children in a healthy environment and also in arousing their interest in studies. Children from age of 3 to 6 years coming from families of rickshaw/van pullers, casual daily laborers, and vegetable vendors attended the center. As the students are coming from poor families, most of them suffer from malnutrition and hence the organization has provided nutritional support to their children.

Cultural Activities

Cultural Program: For our non-formal school children we also organize our theoretical program with the Sangbartra Group. We arrange theatre to enrich our students with cultural activities.
